November 1 (writing challenge)

 Trifextra Challenge for November 1, 2013  http://www.trifectawritingchallenge.com/
In The Scorpio Races, author Maggie Stiefvater writes, "It is the first
day of November and so, today, someone will die."  Give us the next thirty-three
words of this story, as you imagine it.  Take it wherever you like, but make it
original and make it 33 words exactly.
It's the first day of November, so, today, someone will die.
She doesn't plan the assault. She regrets it later, well, two days later. The innocents would do well to remember that she always gets her period on the first day of every month.
All credit for this to Lance Burson who has 33 better words in answer to the challenge.  My Blog Can Beat Up Your Blog
Well, that was harder than I anticipated.  Speaking of writing challenges, I signed up for NaNoWriMo. I had big plans of writing a bunch of words at midnight last night, and then I fell asleep. Anyway, with my unparalleled lack of discipline, and, also, current lack of any sort of idea to write about at all, I don't see this working out well.  Still, I proved I could work the film quotes for the last 105 days, right? I'm not so old that I can't still embrace some discipline, right?  I can do this, right?

Well, maybe after a trough of coffee, shot of bourbon, and some leftover mini Hershey bars.
