friday evening nothings...

Utterly random because I haven't updated in awhile and cannot think of a single bloody thing to blog about.

1.)  I love that someone anonymously posted a question in my "Return to Blue Lagoon" live blog post today. I mean it's been like almost a year. That telefilm is the gift that keeps giving to me.  I may have to actually purchase it on DVD at some point so I always have a copy of the most illogically adorable YA version of "The Blue Lagoon" ever made.

2.) DUDE... there are season finales and then there are SEASON FUCKING FINALES... "Haven" Season Three had a Season Fucking Finale. I am so damn impressed. I never once let myself believe that they would let the barn and the 27 years and the whole reveal be so unabashedly romantic. I mean I had fantasies, and I had hopes especially after "Sarah" aired but still.

LE SIGH.  (in all caps, people, ALL CAPS)

First... this happened.
Then... THIS

Technically these are from episode twelve, but, you know, it all counts towards the finale.

And then, seriously, in the like last 12 minutes of the actual season finale THIS.

AND THEN IT GOT EVEN MORE ROMANTIC AND TRAGIC (my two favorite things in the world).

3.)  And now I'm crying again.

4.)  There is actually a hell of a lot more that happened in the finale, but, you know, look it up on Tumblr because I am crying too hard to screencap the whole episode. It was so damn good though. I mean just extraordinarily good. The writing was superb, and, no lie, Lucas Bryant had a ton of heavy lifting to do emotionally... especially in the father-son reveal & final scenes. He was just fabulous and delivered every single freaking moment like a rock star.

5.)  Fall and Season Four and Nathan and Audrey and Duke seem far, far away right now.

6.)  I lit these votive candles that have been sitting in my bathroom for six months and then spent the next thirty minutes wondering what "that smell" was.  It was the smell of the votives that I've never lit and so didn't know what they smelled like.

7.)  I struggle. Daily.

8.)   Sometimes you just have to listen to R. Kelly's 'Down Low' (Nobody Has to Know) on repeat. Just to get your Friday night groove on. Even if you are going nowhere and doing no one, even on the down low.

9.)   There's a new show on Cinemax that I am obsessed with called "Banshee". Watch it. It's fun and exciting and not at all pretentious. Bonus to all the good times is that Ulrich Thomsen has a starring role. In fact, I only watched it because of Ulrich Thomsen (I would walk about 100 miles in a blizzard to see an Ulrich Thomsen film - not even exaggerating- he is my favorite but this is a blog post for another day), but I loved the premiere so much I ended up watching it like five times.  The only frustrating aspect of the show is that the music cues and songs are exquisite and yet the internet at large (or the imdb board) and I are having an incredibly difficult time figuring out who the artists/songs are.

Anyway, it's damn enjoyable. In the second episode, there's this rather bloodthirsty scene that is played (if this is even possible) graphically subtle.

Oh and stick around after the credits because they show a very small bonus scene each week. Well, they have the last two weeks.

10.)   Here's a little Ulrich just so you all get to enjoy his gorgeous visage with me. Watch "Brodre" aka "Brothers" (the original, not the shoddy American remake) if you've never seen him in anything. It was the first Susanne Bier film I ever saw, and it changed me.

11.)  He's not the star of the show. That would be this sweet ass Kiwi.

His name is Antony Starr.

I thought it was Anthony for like five days, but it seems I am wrong. This is nothing new as I stated above that I struggle.

12.)  I don't think I have anything more to say, but now I'm sorta stuck in this damn blog post of nothings and can't figure out a way to end it.  I suppose I could keep uploading photos of handsome men.

13.)  Shockingly I now have 83 followers on Tumblr. I'm not sure how that happened. Probably some gap in a time space continuum somewhere.

14.)  I just found a book on Goodreads that is a P&P set in a rock and roll setting. Darcy and Elizabeth are both in bands.

I AM ALL OVER THIS BOOK LIKE AN UNWASHED ROLLING STONES TEE ON A DIRTY BASS PLAYER.

15.)  Here's a link. Join me, won't you? We'll book club it.

Fitzwilliam Darcy, Rock Star

16.)  We're not really book clubbing because I am a failure at book clubbing. I cannot stand being told to read a certain amount by a certain time. Also, if I am not feeling a book club book, it is impossible for me to even finish it. I have quit so many book clubs.

17.)  I'm on my third cup of tea. I may be awake all night long now.

18.)  Going to end this now as this has to be the least entertaining list of randomness I've ever written.  Well, second least ... third?

19.)  Boring myself now.

20.)  Until next time or whenever someone else reads my Blue Lagoon liveblog.
